Product Specialist Hilja Tudose
PHM Digital's Product Specialist Hilja Tudose enjoys discussions and wants to inspire the whole work community to do things with quality.
“I come from Hämeenlinna and studied as a construction painter and paramedic. Finding my own place was not a clear-cut thing for me. After my fieldwork I worked in remote care, then as a Recruitment Coordinator and most recently as a Solutions Specialist. These sparked a fire for knowledge and expertise.
A colourful work history has taught me many necessary skills. In construction, I had a close encounter with the property services sector, and in emergency care I learned clear communication, seamless collaboration and independent decision-making. The need to work in changing environments gave me confidence in my own skills.
My current job has been a stroke of luck. Now is the time to put the skills I have acquired to good use. I am quality-conscious and precise, and in development work it is important to be able to spot mistakes. I also benefit from being solution-oriented and understanding cause and effect. I am no longer thinking about changing the industry, but my next step could be to develop within PHM.”
About work and everyday life
“I have quickly got into my role. I started as a Product Specialist of PHM Digital in February 2024. My job description is flexible and varied. I manage product support, solve challenges related to the use of Digital, and create and update user manuals. I conduct trainings, integrate companies into the service, list development ideas and also think about development ideas myself. I also work closely with PHM’s marketing and communications colleagues.
The most rewarding part of my job is the good and functional discussion culture and the opportunity to create something new, to contribute and to do things that matter. Positive feedback gives me the confidence and enthusiasm to keep going. It’s nice to see the results of development work and to see that customers actually benefit from it. I also like trade fairs, visits and meeting people.
I’ve been able to build my own identity in my work. I want to grow as a professional and keep learning new things. For example, making the instruction manual videos was rewarding. They turned out well, even though I had never done them before. I appreciate the open, conversational atmosphere for development. It’s important for me to be able to be myself at work and say things directly. People in different positions can sit at the same table and discuss things on an equal footing. We don’t have to be nervous.”
About values and life
“I have realised that there are many ways to find meaning in work. I value honesty and openness, equality and respect for others. Work-life balance is important to me and it’s great that my employer understands that.
The working atmosphere and employee well-being are important to me. I feel valued here and that I can fulfil my potential. A good relationship with my supervisor is also very important. Regular discussions and feedback are very engaging.
I relax best with an activity. I like to try new things and get excited easily. I like to do things, have adventures and learn new things. I do parkour, wall climbing and water aerobics. My family and I take part in a lot of different events. I read a lot and belong to a reading circle. I have had a museum card for many years and particularly enjoy contemporary art exhibitions. Good food is also a passion of mine and I get inspired to cook myself, as well.”
